Rip’s Big Bowl
We discovered Rip on the documentary Forks Over Knives. There are lots of great recommendations, recipes and ideas on this website as well as The Engine 2 Diet. He’s promoting a vegetarian approach, which I have no intentions of following–but one thing we did take away from Rip was the Big Bowl.

- 1/8 cup steel cut oats
- 1/8 cup Grape Nuts
- 8 bite-size shredded wheat
- 1/8 cup Uncle Sam cereal
- 1 Tbsp ground flaxseed
- 2 Tbsp chopped nuts (I use a combination of walnuts, almonds & pecans)
- 1 sliced banana (or fruit of your choice)
- milk (I use coconut or almond milk)
I measure the cereals, flaxseed and nuts into cups and pile them on top of the fridge. This way we have them ready to go every morning, we just need to add the banana and milk.
